Easily my favorite off this. Prefer the EP by a longshot though.

Yeah I'd be so happy if they made a full length with every track as high quality as the ones off the EP. This is still great, but the EP is even better.

really surprised noctus likes this. but then again im not because noctus and i disagree on practically everything. that last song is pretty much unlistenable to me. most of this album is bad, bar some awesome riffs and moments in the first track and gaze blank and pitiless. our watch is short is a nice little tune.

Those words. Is it even possible to use them in a sentence together like that?

Have you heard one of the new tracks, called "Something Like Avalanches"? It's pretty good.

New album should be up in bandcamp soon. Hyped. The 2 singles they've released sounding sweet.

Yeah, I'm excited for it. Did you donate to their crowd fund campaign for it? I forget how much I donated, but I think I got the package with the signed CD and the poster.

Unfortunately I'm a broke university student but I wish I did!

Also the new album is now up for streaming on bandcamp! Let's see if it's as good as this...

Emergent just started, the intro is beautiful. Still don't think anything on here will come close to matching the excellence of the title track of this album though.

Definitely not feeling the new one as much as this or "In Today Already Walks Tomorrow", but it's

still good.

It won't work on the actual album so I am going to post it here.

I only give this a 5 for One Day I Will Teach You How to Let Go of Your Fears. If you read my other review for the song A Gaze Blank and As Pitiless As The Sun, you'll know what to kind of expect.

I have studied this individual song for over a year now. This is from a parkour/freerunning view.

This is a review ONLY on this song. This song is exactly what the title is. One Day. It begins with a tone that extends for 8 beats and ends with a 2 beat cymbal roll, and the 9th beat is the first musical beat. This section represents waking up. The bass line goes for 4 bars with cymbal rolls every 2 bars. The electric guitar starts at the end of this. That section of guitar represents getting up long before the sun comes up and putting on sweatpants and a hoodie to get ready to go on a roof session. All of that intro is getting out of the house and by the time the climax of the section (guitar half notes and snare break) breaks out the person is already on a roof. This whole section is running on the roof and doing flips and all that good stuff. The song shows love and happiness all through this section. This continues to develop with a high guitar and electronics. It approaches the climax of the song. As it comes closer, the person feels happier and happier and drives even further. Finally the climax breaks open and it feels like the nicest and most beautiful days the listener has ever experienced. At the beginning of the climax, chills often go down the listener's back and he/she hears cheering, applause, in the back of their head. This section of the song represents the happiest day of the day. For a freerunner, the person just landed the hugest new flip they'd been working on. A swimmer wins a race. A scholarly student aces an incredibly hard test. Then the climax continues with an amazing drum beat that is very difficult to recreate. The climax ends with little sections of drum breaks. And it settles with a large cymbal and bass drum finish and goes straight into a bass solo. This represents the end of a great day, usually spent with good friends and people, and whatever else makes that person happy. All in all, it gives for a great feeling.

Please bump this, and spread the word on how you feel about this view.
