What do you mean exactly? For example, tell me what is wrong with Witness The Addiction. I found this
to be one of the better songs, but I admit I am ignorant to the death core scene. And I'm not defending
the ban I'm just interested. If you could direct me to some better deathcore bands I would appreciate
it, though I have heard from many sputnik users that deathcore in general has always sucked. That I
don't get, because there seems there would be a lot of potential from metalcore+death metal if done
right.

The deathmetal bands I am listening to that are scored decently on sputnikmusic are more fast paced and
sound more like death metal (not in my taste, as I never liked the very unnmedlodic guitar in death
metal verses).

It's not the guitar. It's the fact that you don't like good music.
|
| |
Intotheshit, it IS the guitar. Good music is more subjective than you think. I have listened to actual
death metal, and I always feel it is either badass or boring. Badass when the riffs are enjoyable, and
boring when they use the same lifeless verses to move their songs along. Cliche repetition happens in
all forms of music, but for me, I dislike repetition the most in death metal music.

Way to miss the point of my post.

I got your point, and it is obviously an opinion which is a bit misleading to the real truth. Sure, I
listened to this album and other "not good" music, but there is nothing wrong with that. The music I
actually like is the music I rate well, and if you look at my ratings page, I mostly rate music high
that is considered decent by the users here. Of course I am not a punk that just follows what every one
else says. I still stand by my opinion on Asking Alexandria, and I'm proud of it. I don't avoid bad
music because it is bad, as it is good to have perspective, and you know what. I just like seeing the
best in all music, no matter the rating online. Yes, I understand the music I listen to is more
popular, but that doesn't make it bad. I am not at the stage of complete wisdom yet.

To them it is the ultimate sound because they are still young, just as I am. As we become older we look
for more complex, deep and/or more subtly crafted music naturally. When Suicide Silence fans become
older, their tastes will grow with them. The problem is that on sputnikmusic, there are too many users
that are either older or are young with an accelerated taste that plainly insult the users that are
still discovering. It is like insulting a child for liking the simple things in life, and you know
what, if we all could still enjoy the things that children do we would be a very happy society.

I actually liked the album before this quite a bit. It didn't strike me as cliched as much as it did everyone else. "Wake Up" and "Lifted" are two of my favorite SS tracks. This album is pretty bad though

Arrogance vs ignorance

Well, it's probably better to start out with Suicide Silence then with Linkin Park as I did... ironically enough, I listen mostly to good music these days

Don't we all

Linkin Park's first album was one of my first CDs ever, which is still a really good album.

Glad andcas agrees, I'm not a huge Deathcore fan by any means but I saw these guys at Download and Mitch was just incredible.
He should've layed off the booze and moved to another band
