As for TBS maturing, I think this is a way more mature record than say Brand New's Daisy, no matter how I love Brand New's entire discography. All on this album screams BIG to me, it's not perfect by any means, but it's very far from a "very poor"/ "average" record either.
lol you registered just to defend this album.
Im glad you enjoy it but it is almost objectively horrible. The lyrics, the sound, the 'punch you in the face' unoriginality etc. It is truly a terrible album. Well deserving of a 1.5 rating and Downer's review is incredibly well written and completely apt. If you think it is some biased pro brand new/anti TBS rant (why?) you are mentally handicapped.

Yeah, if Brand New didn't exist this would still suck.

i really like the demo of best places to be a mom i mean the album version rules too but dang that demo version

Hey, Japandroid: this sucks compared to New Again, and I'm a huge Taking Back Sunday fan.
I wonder what it's like to believe your opinion is objective fact.

negative reviews are generally hate speeches idk

Yes they are and it's annoying to read because there's no actual analytical substance to them, just hate this hate that.

I think his review gave a pretty good feeling of the album. Lyrically immature and musically stuck in stasis
|

To think they could beat New Again in terms of shit
Bravo guys

This is actually a well-defended view. It does seem as though he just seems to hate unfairly on TBS, but I think that's more of a product of them sucking than him having a bias against them.

El Paso is such a good track, rest of the album is so boring.
