New track sounds fuller. And his vocals are less ghostly.

It's still tender and delicate, so I'd say it hasn't changed much even though there's more going on. I like it.

July is the best track here. Huge shame I couldn't get into the new one at all. It was my most anticipated album of the year.

Just got back from seeing them in a tiny bar. They were awesome. Perfect live mix, which is super rare.

For real man.
As much as I like the hushed bedroom vibe of this record, I feel like this album would have potentially made him a star if he had recorded it in a proper studio like he did with Wondrous Bughouse.
Anyone who has heard him play July or Montana live can attest to that. He blows up the slow jams as hard as they can possibly go live.

He's already a star in my book!

@alabaster Yeah, absolutely. I like the bedroom-vibe the first album has, but once you see those songs live it's hard to go back. The guitars are way more prominent live, and I was pleasantly surprised by how hard they hit during the climaxes.
Not a YoH song, but singing "you'll never die" with a huge group of people and that pulsing beat in the background was a really fantastic concert moment.
