This is such a treat right now. I've been on an Cynic/Atheist/Obscura romp, and it was beginning to
get a bit old. Googled fretless bass metal. Found this gold.

The instumental passage from The Deported is soooo fucking awesome. Listened to this album today and it stands as one of those tech death albums that don't bore me for some reason.

Archspire. Thanks for the heads up. Heads up from me: Vale of Pnath - The Prodigal Empire, Anomalous - OHMnivalent, First Fragment - The Afterthought Ecstasy, De Lirium's Order - Veniversum. All of those are easily 4-grade tech death albums.

lemme know what you think of Archspire. I shat a brick when I hear their speed. Apparently on their new album they recorded a track at 330bpm.

This is pretty standard Technical Death Metal, but the band's musicianship is pretty much top notch. What I like particularly is that the relationship between melody and brutality on songs such as 'Coexistence' and 'The aura' is really well thought out, and the instrumentation (particularly that eccentric bass on 'Injustice revealed' and 'Social disability') is excellent. Naturally Technical Death Metal isn't for everyone (Well, Death Metal isn't either) but Beyond creation really hit hard on their debut.

the progression of the songs is awesome, it doesnt focus too much on technicality like most tech death bands

As for melodies and atmospheres, I dig stuff like Fallujah more. Melodies on "The Aura" are mostly melancholic minors. If they added some spacey, cosmic jazzy melodies instead, they could have 5 potential.
