They aren't incredibly talented. They just have an ear for catchy melodies and create a few guilty pleasure jams for people who aren't caked in make-up and skinny jeans.
Ronnie's voice also had something new to offer at the time that added to the appeal.
This is no where near a classic and I can't really see how you could consider this one. This record also holds some nostalgia for me - but classic seems going a bit overboard for a record that is average at best for the genre.
Cheesy lyrics, some gimmicks, fat scene girl appeal.
But - Different strokes for different folks, I just don't see how anyone can consider this a 5 even for hardcore fans of the genre
