NME review is one of the worst trolling I have come across.

Well, they clearly danced and sang right on past the sophomore slump. =P

The first album was the perfect winter music, and this is perfect summer music. Hell, it's perfect music.

| |
I always think '5' is a bold rating, but I liked the review and these guys are great.
|
| |
Am I grammatically retarded or is that a comma splice in the summary?
Also, is there supposed to be one in that question?
|
| |
Album is a classic though. It's just...so...romantic.
|
| |
Initial listen is good. I'd love for this to grow but we'll see.
|

Lol I just read the NME review:
'Fleet Foxes suck. They’re the soy-latte house band of Starbucks.'
Ahahahahahaha

grown ocean is one of the year's best songs so far

Robin Pecknold is quite a cool man. =)
He makes the clothing he wears actually fashionable.

I remember listening to the title track when it first was released and not liking it.
yeah idk wtf i was on either.

"Given this disregard of temporality, perhaps the best modern equivalent to Dylan is not Matsson or Oberst..."
Perhaps, and maybe that's a good point for Oberst, and this is a small point but I think TMoE is hardly concerned with the "madly complicated modern world"...
|
| |
this is way better than their first album
|
| |
I wouldn't say 'way' better. =/
|
| |
i would, the first album was the same song 10 different times, this is a lot more compelling to me. i hate the first album and I went into this expecting to hate it but I was surprisingly really impressed
|
| |
??? Say what? Not one song on their debut sounds the same.

Only 2 tracks that i can say i really did enjoy off their debut were the first 2 tracks. Everything else was pretty samey and forgettable.
