well he was at the Meshuggah show at a fast food place called la belle provence (which fucking rules by the way for those who haven't been). I saw him, turned to my boys and said "yo I think that's Luc Lemay, lead singer, songwriter of Gorguts". a little while later I was getting a drink and he was there and I just said gorguts? and his face lit up, we talked metal and shit for 20 minutes or so, he was also front row with me at the show, swell chap
