I wouldn't really consider this to be a "gateway" album of any kind though, so that might not be the case. Youtube a couple of songs by Phaeleh and Clubroot and see how they hit you

I'm not that much into electronica and especially not dubstep, but the stuff I've heard on Youtube, while not impress, did spark curiosity.
Might give it a download just to see if it sticks in the end, did the same with Proem and was definitely worth it.

yeah mainly lengthiness. the prose is all good, i think perhaps your intros are a bit long for my taste. once i get down to the main paragraphs, i find them much easier to get through.
but i wouldn't worry about it, its all taste. i'm sure a few of my reviews are guilty of the same thing
