Chugga-chugga-chugga-chug

I'd pick Abrahadabra over this 1000 times.

I generally hate dimmu borgir though.

I really like this, but it's only due to the orchestra's work.

The band doesn't sound that interesting to me...

I do write poetry, actually. I don't offer any readings, but if you ever feel like stopping by ;)
This hasn't grown old, the orchestral work is masterful and the instrumentation compliments it perfectly, they never compete, they just coexist

This made the most discussed list? Guess I have to listen to it again, then.

Astonishing review! One of the best, fair and accurate reviews of The Great Mass on the internet so far(and I checked a lot of them). This is music for those who like music on a wider scale that just a particular style.

As a Communion album heavy listener I really think that The Great Mass surpass it.The Greek legends did it and I am really proud of it.The reviews and opinions are mixed but on the long run this will be a classic metal album. And most important of all is that it amazingly expands beyond its own genre. It can truly appeal to music fans beyond metal scene.

Congratulations on the review! It should be linked to the Septic Flesh webpage.

I highly doubt this will end up being a classic metal album. It's really good, but it's nothing fantastic. Communion is better anyways.

They should cover the soundtrack of Jesus Christ Superstar.

I was actually quite surprised when I got this album at first. I thought it was at first going to be a near copy of Communion, but it sounds a damn slight better in my opinion. Worth listening to it.

It's pretty good. Definitely not a 4.5 but pretty swell.

I just feel like this album is basically the same thing, which isn't a bad thing, but they didn't really do anything new since Communion. I kinda just feel like this is a semi-dumbed down version of it.

Yeah it may grow on me some more with more listens, but I think a 3.5 is where this is going to stay.

not seeing the hype. It's enjoyable, and solid, and much better than Communion, but that isn't saying much. Nothing on this albums really sparks with me.

Load up "Rising" and watch DoubtGin's avatar hump perfectly in time with it.
