I really like most of the beats. His preaching on this album is kind of annoying though.

He completely murdered the beat to Wiz Kahlifa's Black and Yellow.

I think this is better than OG Sessions, but artists always think their new shit is the best. The thing about OG Sessions, is it is very very polished. Everything was recorded and re-recorded and re-recorded until it sounded exactly how I wanted it to sound. With NKBBQ there's lots of things I didn't bother fixing or redoing because it's a mixtape.



The weirdest thing about all of this; Irish Goodbye will probably sound like OG Sessions mixed with North Korean BBQ... if that's possible.



And I will (lucky for you) be replacing my singing with real vocalists in a few situations. My choruses sometimes only go as far as I can reach. I am a limited singer without a doubt. I love the "War Drum" chorus though. A few others were par at mixing time, so I rolled with em. Fuggit.



Yes, I gave my own album a 5 to offset the people who dogged it without even giving it a fair chance. Sue me.

God help me if I am preaching now. I hope it didn't come off that way. Just about every song is seriously me just venting excess internal waste. Not trying to be the arbiter of moral superiority or anything. Clearly I am far from that.

By the way, "Yesterday" from Atmosphere's Lemons album is a perfect song. Maybe enduring the death of a parent is required to have that experience, but it's one out of the handful of Atmosphere songs that I really love.

there was discussion earlier in this thread about apparent atheist themes in your music. I don't think it's overbearing though, but I guess that is the only time I could consider you to be preaching. I don't think it's a valid criticism though, really. i've come upon much more abrasive opinions just posting here

the production on War Drum is fucking brilliant if you ask me, the whole album sounds really nice through a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50's so I guess everyone else is just listening through ipod buds or something. I've been listening to this a lot over the past few days, can really relate to a lot of the themes touched upon, i've been in a dangerous mood and just hearing someone be so fucking honest about shit that's happened to them like in Shannon helps put things in perspective.

Citrus is probably my favourite track.

I listened with good headphones, and while I do like the verses, the choruses just aren't for me. No worries though, because I respect you as an artist. I just didn't care for this as much as some of your other material. Sorry bro.
