This is definitely gonna end up on my top albums of the year list. Totally unexpected because I didn't really like Common Existence and City By the Light Divided all that much. I'm from the central Jersey area and I remember when these guys were playing in basements. The progression they have made from Waiting to this is absolutely insane. It may almost top Full Collapse but I'm gonna wait to 5 it to see its lasting appeal.

I listened to the stream a couple times at work and actually liked it quite a bit. I think I'll give this album a go. Never thought I'd see the day where I caved to the hype surrounding Thursday.

Never could get into this band. If it is this good, I may check it out.

Not rating it just yet, but i'm feeling a strong 4/light 4.5 as it stands. This probably is their best album to date, although this is coming from someone who prefers ACBTLD and CE over their earlier work.

Wow, as someone who has only heard Full Collapse from these guys, this album is pretty stunning.

yeah full collapse takes time to grow but its a solid 3.5/4 whereas this is a straight 4 to begin with haha, i kind of wish they had more of the demonic screams like on stay true or past and future ruins..they're boss

This is the best Thursday release, in my opinion. Albeit I have not given fair listens to Waiting or Kill the House Lights, I doubt they hold a candle to this. Stay True is probably in my top 3 songs of the year so far and the entire thing is a masterpiece. With time, this may become a 5.

This is sneaking up to a 4.5 for me. Will Thursday seriously be my AOTY? This album shocked me so much, I was just expecting another Common Existence.

This is an absolute masterpiece in my book. Rickley is in top form and the cohesion of the music is stunning.

Thursday entered the studio without any demos and impulsively wrote No Devolución on the spot.[6] Within a week the band had a full album written — a dramatically shorter time frame for Thursday as their previous albums had taken between six months and a year to compose.[5] In an effort to "[keep] the songs fresher," recording was performed in several two-week periods with a month off in between sessions.[6] The album's closing song "Stay True" was an improvised studio warm-up song based around a guitar part. Each day a new variation of the instrumental song was preformed and recorded live, with some versions lasting up to 20 minutes. The nearly eight-minute track that appears on No Devolución was Thursday's favorite version of the song, and vocals were later recorded for it.[7] Rickly also recorded some of his vocal parts in the forest that surrounds Tarbox Road Studios.[6][8]

that makes me wanna five it lol...such bosses, especially the part about Stay True, its such a sick song
