Down There was definitely a lot more interesting, I'd say.
But the more I listen to this, the less I like it and the more annoying it gets. That, plus the fact that this was a pretty shit review means I might re-write this thing. But I don't know, everything on this record starts sounding overbearing after a while.

@academy; not really feelings hurt, but more just annoyed. Like I said, I really don't mind criticism, as long as it works towards helping me improve writing. But in a way, I'm glad this thing got neg'd a good amount, because it made me read over it again and realize just how terrible (and yeah, pretentious) parts are. It was sorta rushed/done without any sleep, so good judgement was absent.

This is far from a shit review, I think you just need to tone down some of the wordplay and praise. Plus I honestly think reviewing a release within 24 hours is never a good idea. I'm sitting on a review right now for an album that came out at the end of last month that I personally feel is the best album of the year (so far) and the first 5 for a new release that I've handed out since late '09. But i wanna make sure I got all my shit covered before I post that fucker up

i couldnt after 24hrs but stuff like james blake took me a week.
i love anco like any guy who only listens to indie pop but i can't deal with this. hopefully it'll be the kind of album i come to love overtime. better that than something like kaputt which i cant deal with now. but i don't have high hopes for this. =(
