"When we were discussing how to set up Best New Music the overwhelming majority thought that the most efficient way to do it would be to simply link it to your personal ratings. After a bit more discussion, though, we remembered that would go against the community concept of not giving a shit what you think."
hahahahaha awesome
you should revisit the idea to link it directly to my personal ratings. I think it's worth a shot.

Idk......where's Ryan Mendez's crazy guitar?
Where's Sean's soaring violin?
Do they have a bassist? lol
Where's the variety?
...On the other hand, I think this is absolutely a summer album. It's punky-poppy upbeat and somber-sing-along ballads push the idea that they're not out to top all of their other albums. They wanted to get back in the game, and prove they haven't forgotten their roots. I think they'll execute better the next album. Still decent though.

I appreciate all the reviews on here, even the haters (lol). Out of all the sites that (I've seen) reviewed this album, I give kudos to you guys. Honest and respectful comments. I don't usually comment for obvious reasons.

Review and thread are officially elite now. Always fun when band members comment.
I convinced Thursday to stream Common Existence earlier than planned so I could review it, and Banner Pilot sent me a band shirt for reviewing their album (great guys).
