Lol @ Mathcore.

I was about to check this out when I saw the American Apparel ad pretty much throw hipster vag in my face.
It was kind of hairy.

"lol.
Less range =/= bad vocalist. Maybe it's just me, but I fail to see the genericism of the vocals on this. High range harsh, low range harsh, and clean vocals. I'm sure there are more bands that do this, but the only band that comes to mind (right now) is Protest the Hero, and they did a pretty shitty job of it."
I never claimed he was a bad vocalist. I just find the vocals to be rather monotonous. They add little for me, and the screams on this sound like they've been on other metal/death-core albums. I just find the hole genre to be pretty stale and emotionless at this point, and this band doesn't offer very much that hasn't been done before.

as much as I hate the cleans at times, I am really starting to enjoy this

Travis can sing I just think he is singing a way he shouldn't be singing when doing the cleans.

Ok. This album keeps getting better and better. A very succinct effort and all the songs are epic in their own right.

Listening to this right now. Vocals are so good. Probably like a 3 or 3.5

I don't know about the album as a whole but Complex Terms/Faust/Antebellum are contenders for song of the year for me.

Soooooo glad Nathan isn't in this band anymore. I met him after a show and he tried to convince my friends and I that the apocalypse was going to happen in 2012. Dude is a huge, pretentious dbag.

This reminds me a lot of The Word Alive

Travis' harsh vocals are a more focused and refined styling similar to that of the Word Alive, and a lot of Dean's playing is kinda' reminiscent as well. I honestly think the 'preview' for the album sounded a lot better, but this is still a great piece of work.
I talked to Nathan quite a few times last summer, just online. He seemed pretty nice and willing to talk, but he is one of those dudes that says dude a lot dude, and dude, I mean a fucking lot dude. Dude.

It's definitely a better listen then their last album. I enjoy this a lot, but I still find it brings little new to the table of the genre.
The thing is full of some pretty spectacular moments nonetheless.

I'm surprised that their creativity fell short on the album cover, in comparison to the actual album. I mean, c'mon...

I should come back to this some time.
