Good luck dude, Mekong Delta is one of those bands that need perseverance and focused listens. I've listened to The Music of Erich Zann just once and it was pretty hard to get into.
Unfortunately, I never bothered since then to give it another spin so I don't have a specific opinion on the band. Voivod, who reviewed their latest album, is one of the users who are really into these guys.

Ya the riffs are great, and they don't repeat parts too much, but the lyrics are kinda meh as well as most of the solos.

rather than that MD's lyrics suck its more that they just lack that solid vocal presence.
