It could be angrier, but it gets it.

Anyone else think this goes sharply downhill after the first five tracks?

What do you dig so much about the second half? I don't dislike it, just curious as to what's hot there

Yeah, but Dragnalus, Lucky Acid and Honorousis are all fantastic, and Nervous Energy is pretty strong too

"Nervous Energy" is one of the most memorable songs here. The guitar riff that first appears at ~0:52 is out of this world, post-hardcore-raw, but sugar-sweet. In a way, you can already hear the dream pop Spiderland of Leaves Turn Inside You here.

Never cared too much about "Dragnalus" or "Lucky Acid", too much straightforward punk on these two. Album highlights are "Neurvous Energy", "Honourosis", to a small extent "Felling$ Real", and of course (as everybody seems to agree) "Valentine Card/Kantina/Were, Are and Was or Is", which is a serious candidate for the best p-h song ever.

Glad you think so buddy

Always thought Leaves was a bit overhyped here, but I have it at a 4.5 now so what do I know. I should probably lower it soon.

D :

That riff after the drum beats on Star Spangled reminds me of Bleach-era Nirvana. I need to check out more stuff like early Unwound, this is right up my alley.

Good rating! Also ew Nirvana comparisons

Check New Plastic Ideas next. And also every noise rock band ever I'll just fax you over 200 or so that's okay right?

Sure sure sure . I've listened to a decent amount of noise rock but more recs are always appreciated ( and tbh , I've always been a tad let down by Sonic Youth. It's like I want it to be my favorite band ever but consistency and lack of noise sometimes gets to me)
