Geez, I’m definitely going to need to give this a couple more spins I guess. This just isn’t doing much for me. I find Tilian’s DGD performances much more memorable and engaging. Plug DGD is more interesting instrumentally, too. Maybe I would have liked this more if I hadn’t heard them first. After first listen I’m sitting at a 3 on this

Got another spin in. Gonna settle at a light 3.5. From what I heard of these guys’ most recent album, I prefer that for sure.

Been on a post-hardcore kick and this album is just great. Any time I'm making a post-hardcore playlist this album makes the cut.

Tilian sounds so fucking good on this album, and his songwriting is dearly missed in DGD. I'd love to hear a DGD song that sounds like Tides stuff

For sure, I would love to hear that. I need more shit like this, Ghost Atlas, and Saosin in my life. Just seems hard to find bands in this genre that don’t sound like Pierce the Veil or Sleeping with Sirens.

That's a weird one mang.

It's prettttty good though. There are a couple cool moments in there, but it's followed by some flat ones. Prob like a 3 or a 3.5 for me.

Fair, it's more psychedelic proggy post hardcore but I still dig it hard

Yeeee. If I was making a playlist around Dance Gavin Dance then these guys would fit pretty well. I'll have to try them again when I'm more in that kinda mood because there were definitely elements that I liked.

Honestly I just really don't get people that like Tilian here then hate him on DGD

Tilian DGD > Tilian ToM

Instrumental ToM > Tilian ToM

I don't hate him in DGD at all, I quite enjoy the run through AS and ArSe, but Afterburner is proof that his time with DGD has become formulaic and stale.

Okay, I'll agree with that. Really hope they shake things up next time because I really don't see a lineup change in their cards
