When it comes to blues players I prefer Winter. He's more versatile I think, he plays Delta, Chicago, you name it with the same ease and as good as any blues player including the og's for me. Plus he's an awesome slide guitar player. Now, I love the folk influences Rory brought as well and in my mind he's like the brit version of Winter. Both awesome/versatile blues players with blistering solos and great voices. I'm not saying one is better than the other but I prefer Winter.



I know that you value live performances so whenever you have the time you may want to check Johnny Winter - Captured Live!.

Rory's playing actually moves me, I don't get that from listening to Winter. A personal thing I guess.

Contrary to most people's opinion, Axis may be my favorite Jimi Hendrix album. Castles Made Of Sand is probably my all time favorite Jimi song as well.

Yes, Little Wing is definitely amazing. So are Up From The Skies, Wait Until Tomorrow and Spanish Castle Magic.

Little Wing and the title track are the highlights for me.

Mine would be Castles Made Of Sand, Little Wing and perhaps Spanish Castle Magic. But Wait Until Tomorrow, Bold As Love, Up From The Skies and more are so amazing.
