Yeah, I just hate it when people go "Oh no, they've changed their sound/evolved! They suck now". Really gets on my nerves...

Only things missing on this are the basslines of Carlos D. GOD DAMMIT I MISS THAT MAN.

Saw them live a couple of weeks ago and I must say that Brad Truax does a good job of replacing him though...

Well, tbh, I was just standing too. With my eyes closed, enjoying the trip, mind you. But I do find it a bit awkward to SHOUT the lyrics along :p
Where did you see them?

It's not so much a live thing as it is a studio thing. I think Carlos recorded on this album but I can't hear shit from him. Normally it would make the experience a little bit hollow sounding but it's forgiven because everything else is right on point with this album.

Idk, I have plenty of bass on my sound system here...
Take for example the intro of Barricade, that's pretty bass-heavy to me

Album isn't good.

Okay maybe at some points I hear it but unlike the first two Interpol albums, it wasn't the first thing that caught my attention.

Yes it is
Edit: And Bloc, yeah that's true.

I've been trying to enjoy this but I can't. Everything's there, but the songwriting's just really bad.

This has grown a little, but I think it's probably stopped. Try It On and Barricade are two of Interpol's best I think.

I really wish he'd just let his voice be good and not feel the need to wheeze like an idiot.

So reading it in hindsight, this review is awesome.
I agree, but not to the extent that you stress your points. If Safe Without and Try it On were replaced with good songs this would be a 3.5.
