I want to be as far away from elite as possible. This band is responsible for at least half of the music I listen to, plus they have been one of my favourite bands for 8 years now so I have my reasons for liking them so much.

i dont rate classical or trip hop or jazz simply because i dont care for it even though i have a lot
of respect for the genres. these kids probably dont even like metalcore giving this classic a 3.5

Or maybe they like other spectrums of metalcore? Dude, it's a pretty varied genre. Someone may love Comity for their progressive and chaotic sound but hate Parkway Drive because of the fairly simplistic style in comparison. Though I love them, Zao is not the end-all, be-all metalcore group that characterizes the genre's sound. I've yet to find a band that can run the gamut of all metalcore styles.
