dude i just got into Trivium and i like what i hear so far

This album is definetly not crap like the reviewer said. Gunshot is probably the best track on the album mostly for its big lead jam at the end. They need a little work on song consistency but other than that these guys have limitless potential.

they have amazing potential. they play insane solos. matt has a decent voice...i like the screaming too...but i see where you all are coming from not liking. the guitar riffs...remind me of as i lay dying...repetitive and same notes and chords beyond belief...but good. soloing...again is really good. i think if they thought more about there arrangements some more, they could write some insane stuff. they should balance out the vocals and screaming too.



personally...i like the album. recommendations...pull harder(live version on yahoo has an awesome solo...some of the notes they hit are alittle bit off...but its sounds insane), like light, declaration, and dying in your arms.



they have mad potential...i hope when they put a next album out...they neaten up a little bit...but im sure the next album could turn out awesome.

well, dont be too confident...weve all seen how great bands have fallen apart to shit. i have a feeling chances are it will be a great album, but it could turn out to suck. lets hope its awesome though!

Respect to the reviwer to writing such a unique assesment of Ascendancy, although I don't agree with everything that has been said about it (I actually quite like the screaming...) I do agree with the topic of recycled riffs, throughout the whole album, the only riff that had me going crazy was album closer 'Declaration'.



I've had the privelage of seeing Trivium live, and can definatley say that theya re more than capable musicians, so here's hoping that they stick around and mature into the metal gods they could be if their true potential was realised.

That is defintely not true. Matt's scream may not be the best but he definetly has a better than average clean voice. Also they play some killer solos.
