When the boy behind Nothing Rhymes With David busts through puberty & turns into a man (renaming his moniker The Furriest Man On Earth), hires Howard Benson to twiddle his knob(s) & Dave Grohl to spank his skin(s), we will look back at his debut EP 'Beard Logic Riddles' & see how obvious all of that potential was. Armed with nothing but an acoustic guitar, Mstr. Young delivers 22 minutes of raw, lo-fi & self-recorded acoustic folk that is never outstanding, but also never cringeworthy. There are some nice subtle melodies here, while the above-average songwriting is complimented by the appropriately sincere vocals. The first 3 tracks are the best.
