That's what I am shooting for.

Yay. So does this band get a lot of airplay over in the States? They are practically unknown down under.
|
| |
Addicted got some decent air play last year. Not much aside from that.
Shinedown has been waaaaaaaaaaaay overplayed here, though. I can't stand to hear Second Chance again.
|
| |
I've heard 18 Days some, too.
I don't listen to radio much anymore though, so Shinedown hasn't been ruined for me at all.

So what radio decides to play is just as strange over there by the sound of it. I mean, I prefer Shinedown to these guys, but it's relatively similar genre wise.

My local rock station (98 Rock) plays a pretty good variety, from Metallica to Sublime to Shinedown to Rage Against the Machine.

Yeah, that's all one can ask for; variety mixed with a decent level of quality. Dunno how it is over there, but rock radio is unfortunately dying down in Oz.

Idk, it's good enough for when I forget my Zune.

I meant from a popularity/ratings perspective. No-one really listens to the stations available down under.
|
| |
Ummm, there's more classic rock and metal than modern rock most of the time.
|
| |
I'd take my local rock station just fine, sadly the majority just want to hear the Top 40 pop/hip-hop/R&B station.
|
| |
"pop/hip-hop/R&B station."
Ugh...

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. Here, it's all about the Top 40 pop/hip-hop/R&B stations. All they do is differentiate on eras for the most part. Meanwhile, rock falls by the wayside.
|
| |
I'm mostly mad that they got rid of my favorite Jazz station : (

Meanwhile, rock falls by the wayside.
Sadly, that's very true.

It's all Saving Abel's fault.
