So very wrong.

Listening to this again. Still enjoyable, and the climax of "Swallowed by the Earth" kicks some serious nuts

Replaying Anthro right now. I'm probably wrong.

The only thing this has over Anthro is the Origin duo

I'm a little more familiar with Anthro now, but at this point I'm still giving Helio the edge. This one feels kind of...incomplete because of the way it ends. The Ocean is definitely a "go out with a bang" band. I'm going to listen to this one quite a bit more.
I'm sure we can all agree that they could've made a 4/5 if they would've just taken the best songs from each album and combined them to make one SOLID album.

1. Anthropocentric
2. She Was the Universe
3. Shamayim
4. Firmament
5. Metaphysics of a Hangman
6. The Grand Inquisitor II: Roots & Locusts
7. Swallowed by the Earth
8. Wille Zum Untergang
9. The Origin of Species
10. The Origin of God
That would be an easy 4 or 4.5, but its still lacking some other good songs on Anthro like The Grand Inquisitor I and Heaven TV. It's hard to pick and choose.

Bumped my rating up a bit because Firmament rules.

Firmament would've been better if they ended the song after the 2nd screaming chorus around the 6 minute mark or something. but still the song kicks ass

Ptolemy Was Wrong
The worst song on the album? Far from it. I dont see why so many people hate it.

ugh.
I love these guys' previous works. This is bad. The writing is just goofy. And I can't stand the vocals.
I do enjoy Firmament and The Origin of Species. Instrumentally. Even the song titles here illustrate the bad writing.
