God I just finished my first listen and it was every bit as good as I hoped it would be.
EDIT: I don't think I ever actually read this review all the way through, but now that I listened and
read the review I realize what a fucking great review that was. Wow.

Yeah, actually really dissapointed with this on initial listen, might be a grower though.
I think they would probably do well with this sound but i prefer older Circa.

This was a wonderful review (though long). Your reviews appear better than most professional reviews
from magazines ^_^
This album on another note is ridiculously good. It's so different from their other albums though,
such as their incorporation of a more alternative placement in their music. They add in cameo's of
kids singing as well as violin... This has really been an incredible experience. This
album is so much better than their other albums because they've decided to fuse more mainstream
genre's in while continuing to still stay unique and adding in odd, yet awesome, extra's such as the
violin and cameo of kids.
BTW, I got just the Vinyl package preorder from circasurvive. It came with a free digital download
of both the album (eventually) and the song. I didn't see the need for a cd because I got the
digital download, and I sure as hell don't need a bunch of fashion accessories. The lithograph
looked really awesome, but it wasn't worth paying $50 extra dollars on :/

Why didn't chan put the rest of the tracks on? Deluxe edition anyone, that's the download I got, so
he's missing like 3 or 4 extra tracks.
swedishrob, Circa worked REALLY hard on this. You can't pay $10 for the album?

Plus, Anthony Green is hella chill
I saw him one time on my way home from school, about two years ago
He told me to keep on learning
What an inspiration

You could preorder the cd now off their website and get the entire album digitally for free from them

I'm broke at the moment
Will have money by the 20th

Well, if you're actually planning on buying this stuff, then downloading the album from "elsewhere" sources isn't bad at all.

I love the first half of this CD. Up through song seven, I think this is definitely some of their best work. Through the Desert Alone is my new favorite Circa song. The second half kind of lost me. Spirit of the Stairwell bored me, and the kids singing in Dyed in the Wool ruined that song for me. I like the Longest Mile though. Probably gonna give this a 4 or 4.5, no clue where this will rank compared to their others.

Easily blows everything Circa Survive (and Saosin, btw) have done before out of the water

4 songs through, and i can't help but get the feeling that this record is hella thrice influenced.

It's like Circa "Lite..." Everything that made them good is gone, and they are officially just trying too hard.
|
| |
It was all good, but only a couple of songs really stood out and got my attention. maybe itll grow, who knows
