Could you elaborate on this review a bit. It was written very well, but I was confused when it came to the contrast between the humanistic and electronic elements to MPP.

Well first of all that Brothersport could even be considered as a failure. I fail to see how the repetition is obnoxious at all. I also find it hard to understand how you could see the warmth of the album as a negative. To be honest it reads as though you wanted to find faults with the album above compliments (not saying you did, I'm sure you were completely objective).
Also I think the review is more a 2.5 than a 2.

Greer is Sputnik's curmudgeon / Kayo Dot fanboy.

This is one of those weird records for me that I always feel like bumping to a 5, but never do for some reason. I think it's because Animal Collective's discography as a whole (or at least their LP's) is absolutely classic, but they have yet to release something that could stand alone as a perfect record without the support of all the others. It's like it would make more sense to me to 5 all their records than just one, even though some are definitely stronger or weaker than others.
Idk what I'm talking about anymore.

I remember running into a photo displaying Nick Greer's rating system. I find it's very appropriate with this situation.

Feels, bitch.

Feels isn't perfect, I don't even think its the closest they've actually. But it hardly matters, since all of them are at least excellent.

Ahh, well. Feels will always be the epitome of my love for nature and pot
And music.

Hahaha see, for me that would be Sung Tongs so there is the disagreement.
But in all seriousness, LSD + Sung Tongs + cloudy day in the hills = life-altering human experience.

^....I should really try that.
I actually haven't listened to Sung Tongs in a while, I should get back into that.

That sounds very intriguing actually.
And yeah MJ, acid is a crazy drug. I feel like if I had done it at night, any music would pretty much have just been scary. But then again, it's hard to judge that kind of thing, since hallucinogens pretty much never (as in 0% of the time) end up being the way you expect.
