there arent any direct hold steady comparisons (i dont think i even mentioned them in the review) but they're both obviously very influenced by springsteen and since they both have that e street aesthetic i put them in rec by reviewer because i figured a lot of people who liked this might also like the hold steady. aside from that influence though, theyre very different bands.
