This isn't that great at all. A few tracks are okay, but all of the good stuff is spoiled for being stretched out with no mercy. Sub-par to "pretty good" songwriting drowning in melodrama is dull and corny. Mabool is infinitely better in every way.

Oh, and the finale is the same old bullshit. I feel nothing, NOTHING when I hear it. I've heard better, more emotional finales in a public restroom.

Funny thing is, I had a feeling you'd say something like this, and I say that you must have this and something like Avril or Evanescence mixed up, because man, you want "more emotional finales in a public restroom", ha ha, well there you go, those two artists make me want to sum them up in just that way.

I hardly consider this album "drowning in melodrama" myself, and not only that, I was not knocking Mabool, hell, that album is a fucking classic. I'm just saying this one is a fine follow up to Mabool. Now it's my turn to say, what do you consider to be great? Feel free to list some of the stuff you consider as such, and I'll see if I heard any of it.

As for you qwe, you strike me as someone who only listened to part of the album, and decided to call it a day, that's fine, sometimes I do that too when an album is really bad. As for you sticking up for the reviewer, pot, kettle, black. Not my fault that this reviewer obviously expected Mabool, Part 2, as he kept comparing this album to it's predecessor rather than allowing it to stand on it's own, hence why I say this review just wreaks of stink.

Not my fault that I found this album to be strikingly good, plenty of good tracks to be had, especially towards the end. And of course, attacking my opinion of music and making an assumption that I am on something makes you look real mature for sure. Nice try though.

The review is fine. You're just looking for ways to rubbish it because it disagrees with you. Mabool was good for its time because it was doing something that hadn't really been done before. Now its sound is dated and boring, and that this album doesn't sound any different from its predecessor makes it feel contrived and lazy. It's also impossible to separate it from Mabool if it sounds so much like it. Steven Wilson's production doesn't help either. The dude should just stop.

Seriously man those drugs you're on must be real strong for them to still be in effect. It's alright once they wear off you'll see this for the boring contrived turd that it is.

Sorry, not a druggie here, again, nice try. As for looking for ways to rubbish it? Nah, it already does that on it's own. Granted, a review is nothing more than someone's opinion, but in this case I feel it deserves way better than a 2.0.

I'll certainly check said bands out as I am always open to new experiences. But I'll have you know I had a friend of mine actually listen to this album top to bottom, and he generally feels the same as me on it. So again, nice try, I still stand by what I said. I was going to put something else in, but I'm gonna pass and take the high road. Thanks!

Thanks TheSpirit **LOL** BTW, I posted my own review of the album if anyone wants to take a gander at it. Feel free, I'll probably just laugh at any flaming attempt if anyone tries to do so.

You may disagree with a review, but it certainly doesn't "rubbish" itself. i don't even know what that means

Don't worry about what others think about music, just call them out on dumb comments.

I don't really agree with either of the two reviews available for this. Maybe I'll write a 3.5-4 review to offer a middle ground approach.

By all means, you'd probably beat me to it, I've been working like crazy lately and can hardly even find time to listen to music let alone review it.

I really love the intro of "From Broken Vessels." It's been stuck in my head all day.

I deleted this, which is rare for me to do. It's just so mediocre and lackluster.

A fine review, though I do not quite agree with it. This album may not share the brilliance of Mabool, but it is certainly close to it.

Just got back from the Toronto show.

These songs live sound 10000x better (although I'm still not a fan of the album)
