This is by far my favorite Emery album. I just wish there was a little more screaming. The album tends to get a little boring near the end.

"This is definitely in my top 5 of 09." Good stuff. It's in my Top 1.

"2 more ratings below 3 and it'll be back to a 3.9 anyway" Someone has been on his calculator.

"seems weird this is getting so much attention now. i remember when it first came out and nobody gave a fuck." The power of a Davey review!!! (exclamation points added just for your benefit). And I don't know about no-one caring when it came out. A strong review here & the average rating was initially higher than it is now.

"naw, this is definately gonna crack my top 3. after all this hype now im really tempted to raise my rating." Do it... Do it... Do it.... I should change my name to DaveyTheHypeMachine.

"because it is." This detailed argument is extremely difficult to disagree with. LOL.

"good review, and absolutely perfect album." Thanks man.

"i just wish everyone would stop calling I'm only a man a mistake." The entire album wasn't a mistake... Choosing to include certain songs was. It's why I used that first quote that i did.

"If you're slating this record you should really give it a couple more listens. I had no idea what the fuss was about the first couple of times!" YEAH, everyone listen to Paradux. Although, I disagree... Because I loved it on 1st listen. Haha.

"Dear Death Pt's 1 and 2 are now the only songs I find to be less than excellent on this." A bit harsh Rosco, but if that's the main negative for the album, then it's minor.

"YOU CRIED IN FRONT OF YOUR FRIENDS" Just to save some face! Love that line. YOU'RE JUST A SICKNESS...

"This is by far my favorite Emery album. I just wish there was a little more screaming. The album tends to get a little boring near the end." I like the fact that there is quite a bit of (what I will call) subtle screaming. While I wouldn't say it gets boring towards the end, I can sort of see your point. On initial listen, I did feel a sense of sameness... But then I realized that being awesome over & over again was a great thing.

Emery are clever though... They only sail in shallow seas, so they should survive a sinking.

CK, I have to ask if you've heard The Question, as that is better than this.

But it has no merit. I mean, have you even listened to In on the Kill
taker?

I doubt emery has ,so I wouldn't see why someone who gave this a classic rating would either

"CK, I have to ask if you've heard The Question, as that is better than this." Mate, I've rated it & done a sound-off for it. I seriously think that is over-rated in these parts. As I have said in these comments, that album seems to appeal to a lot of people on a personal level lyrics-wise. That's fair enough... But it didn't have that impact on me. I even slightly prefer their debut

Mendross, forgive me, but I have no idea what your entire comment is referring to.

"i am the only one who feels it was a crime to leave off ten talents? i thought it was one of their best to date." I can see where you're coming from fti, but I actually prefer that they left it off. You never want to put too many EP tracks on to your next LP. I think they probably should have left 'Edge...' off as well. 'The Smile, The Face' had to be included though. If anything, leaving 'TT' off simply makes the EP a better stand-alone prospect. Otherwise, you'd never go back to it.

"im instantly hooked!" Instantly & hooked. 2 very very very apt words for this album. Now rate it a 4.5 or 5 Comb1ne.

T'was a bonus track, I think. Either way they did leave it off.

"if you think they should have left a track off it i dont see how its a 5" Adam, you're very grumpy lately. Is it France's fault or Spain's? The reason why I think 'Edge' should have been left off was to preseve the EP more. I don't see that as having too significant an impact on the rating of the LP.

"T'was a bonus track, I think. Either way they did leave it off." Tomlin, u r confused... Almost as much as Arsene Wenger right now.

But really. I find truth in what Strikey said. I still have this as a solid 3.5 and don't see any chance of change in the near future. Sorry, but this isn't worth a 5 by a long shot in my opinion.
