Everything about this band is better than every other big 4 band, although one could contest that Cantrell is a better guitarist than Kim, I guess.
4th of July is the most amazing song ever

Danny how old are you, been wondering.
This album was so fucking monstrous when it came out. It was absolutely EVREYWHERE

24.
Thayil is a better rhythm guitarist than Cantrell imo, he just delivers riffs of ownage on this and BMF.
But Cantrell had cleaner leads.

all of you guys except me and Inveigh missed the CD age. Back when albums where fucking huge and on the radio and everywhere and you listened to whole albums at parties because everyone was too bombed to change it.

That one is Dirt, far and away Dirt.

This has less filler than Dirt but Dirts high points are higher. Hell BadMotorFingers high points are higher, but this doesnt really have anything resembling a bad song except for Half

Yeah, "Half" is easily the weakest on here, but fortunately it's short and doesn't bother or anything.

fuck. yes. that period lasted for me mostly through college, even though ipods/mp3s were prevalent then. I was just a broke college kid with no computer or ipod, and my place was the party spot, so we jammed CDs.
the prevalence of digital music has changed so much about music as a whole, it's great but also depressing

Imo Dirt's only filler tracks are Junkhead and Sickman

Its great that you can get anything, anytime, but it takes away from jamming full albums. I mean, i wore the fucking FUCK out of my Superunknown album, which I bought the day it came out.
ANother underrated aspect of CDs. Sniffing the fucking booklet. Yeah Im drunk.
It still mattered.
