WTF happened here? I should never have brought up shrinkage. It's all your fault Dougie... & your team's bowling.
The hot weather is definitely back down under.

Righteo gyro. Do it proud mate.
Dougie, I didn't realise that T20 had infiltrated all levels of cricket yet. Just do a D. Hussey & bowl off 2 steps. That should keep the energy levels up.

I like the album much better than Southern Weather. SW was far more experimental, Aaron does a better job on the lyrics in this album. I'm curious why the reviewer makes NO MENTION at ALL to the fact that this is a concept album. You can tell this not only from listening to the lyrics, or by looking at song titles, but also by reading interviews with Aaron prior to this album's release. The point is, each song should be considered as part of the overall concept Aaron is trying to pull off here and I think he is fairly successful at that. And Track 3 "No I Don't" is absolutely memorable and on this song alone he shows his superior vocal ability when it comes to mainstream-pop rock artists like Dave Grohl.

You may not like his vocals, I'm not saying they are the greatest thing I've ever heard but on THAT particular song, he far outshines ANYTHING Dave Grohl can ever conceive vocally...

Yes I do agree with that, far better as a musician and drummer than a vocalist.

The reason why the reviewer makes NO MENTION AT ALL of the interpreted concept is because he didn't feel that the lyrics were consistently strong enough to draw him into the concept.
The reviewer did mention the nostalgic Americana feel through much of the album (which is part of the concept), especially on songs such as 'Summer Summer' & 'Souls on Ten'. However, it just wasn't consistently involving enough.
Of course, this is all in the reviewers opionion & we are all entitled to have one.
As for the comment regarding Dave Grohl, I think I will simply leave it as "I disagree".

lol @ what passes for a concept album these days

Haha. I'd call it more a theme in this case. Either way, it didn't draw me in. It was a neutral factor as such, so didn't feel it worth mentioning.

Those are the 2 most energetic songs on the album. I really like the catchiness of 'Hands'.

Yeah, some could argue that 'Hands' is a little out of character with the rest of the album & they would have a point. But it's the perfect lead single. I'm sure it will be great live.

I really like Summer Summer and Hands is good. I wish he didn't sing so falloutboy/bendy/gay though throughout. I love his voice in Underoath. Monster is weird

Natey, I actually wonder if he sings that way to differentiate this group even more than UnderOath. I hope not as it would totally unnecessary.
'Monster' may be weird, but it's pretty cool imo.
Well DavID, I tried to tell everyone that I believe 'Southern Weather' is better...
