I think this is up there with Paramore's Brand New Eyes for punk/pop album of the year.

Album Rating: 4.5
I wouldn't call this pop punk. This is up there as best rock record to me, fighting with TBS - New Again. Paramore's brand new eyes is hands down the best pop punk record I've listened in a long, long time tho.

I think it could qualify as pop/punk, but you are right - it has a more rock feel than most pop/punk.

And I'm not even a Paramore fan, my liking for their new album took me completely by surprise.

I'm surprised by how many of the Paramore fans at amazon.com don't like this CD.. yes it's not as radio friendly, but it has lots of energy and is more mature.

The bonus tracks alone are worth the price. "Fainting Spells" should have been on Decemberunderground.
And that opening guitar line on "Torch Song" is so fucking epic.

^YES love it.
Just saw them on the tour opener in Minneapolis! Holy shit, that was an amazing show. Davey's voice was in perfect condition the
whole time, all hour and 45 minutes of it
They played "On The Arrow", which they haven't played live before. Expect it as a mid-set interlude on the tour, it's great.

If you're not yet sold on this album, give the first thirty five seconds a listen. These fucking weird, distant, horror music clips play before coming to the forefront of the sound and transforming into a "typical" sounding AFI guitar riff, when suddenly, BAM, this fucking HEAVENLY sounding riff that sounds something like the most epic thing that has ever happened in the world, like if jesus decided to pick up a guitar and play a song inspired by the fall of man.
Okay. Fanboyish but you get the point.
There's my soundoff. Listen to this.

Ima be listening to this soon.

I like Sacrilege, and most of the album is at least decent music.
|
| |
It probably means that he doesn't like AFI's sound.
|
| |
what the fuck?
|
| |
Good point. Then he probably is angry about Havok's bad haircut history.
