Wilson's not too good at writing lyrics really, just check out his project No-Man with Tim Bowness doing the lyrics, and they're much more fascinating (imo).
and I won't look up all the comments here but I guess somebody will already have mentioned that "Time Flies" in many ways is a copy of Pink Floyd's "Dogs", the acoustic guitar with that raw rhythm, those moments when the electric guitar "overrides" the acoustic stuff, even the vocals sound kinda similar and the idea of that longer calm section in the middle. When I first heard it, when he sings "And after a while" for the last time I was sure it's gonna continue with "you can work on points for style". The problem is that there's no Gilmour doing awesome guitar solos so it sounds kinda boring.

yeah wilson really cannot write lyrics.
listen to sentimental from Fear of a blank planet. i mean come on

I love how everyone says the electric part in Time Flies mirrors Dogs when it actually mirrors Sheep. And I'm not even that big of a Pink Floyd fan.
And yeah, Agalloch are the ultimate winter band. I've been holding off listening to them all summer just so it'll be all the sweeter when I finally put Pale Folklore back on.

Just saw these guys tonight in Baltimore...what an incredible show. I'm actually stunned at how well The Incident translated to a live show, and the second half was some of the best playing I've ever heard...so pumped right now

I wish, oh I wish i liked this album. And when it comes right down to it, I kind of do. It's still such a dissapointment in light of most everything PT has produced Before it. Perhaps I'll have to give it more time and see, maybe it'll get better.

Wait wait wait.. They didnt play Trains??!! Im not one of the rabid fanboys of the song but I know a lot of PT fans are.. They risked the wrath of the crowd not playing this?
