I still wouldn't call them mainstream in Canada/US. I just hope they keep some of their music sacred, because it's kind of lame when everyone only knows the band for their biggest radio hits, because often those aren't their best songs.

Well, yeah, that one was shitty, because there are people who just like that song because it's on twilight and before that they didn't know who the hell Muse was...I have some friends who had this experience unfortunately haha. Absolution made them a big act here. All of their shows sell out before they arrive at the venues. MTV Mainstream isn't a representation of our actual mainstream, it's a children's channel, it plays what the kids want to hear because the kids watch t.v. all day. I'm not saying thats a good thing but its the way it is right now. Muse have been rather huge in the states for a while - they sold out two Giants Stadium shows with U2 and mostly everybody I know is pissed, and not because they can't see the latter.

Never implied MTV was the be all and end all. I know Muse have had some minor hits into the mainstream with stuff like Guitar Hero and Twilight, but I've never perceived them as the stadium-filling band that they are in the UK and in Australia.



As for the Giants shows, that's U2. U2 can sell out anywhere in the world, pretty much.
