The Mule is growing on me a bit. It might end up being one of my least fave moments on here, but still solid.

I freaking love the drum solo in "The Mule." It is great how both Ians in the band seriously go all out on track after track.

Strange Kind of Woman is sweet. Regardidng the drum solo, it's sweet, but it doesn't hit me quite as hard as other moments on the album. It's all opinion though.

Yes, no album seems to be absolute perfection all the way through, but this one in particular seems to dance on that borderline.

All albums have at least one moment that's less strong imo, it all depends for me on whether or not that affects the experience that much.

And yeah, Space Truckin' got beefed up hard too. They extended it a lot.
Tbh, comparing this to DP's studio stuff feels unfair; having said that, this is one hell of a live album.

Of course it is. The only real complaint about it I have is "Child in Time" being the sole In Rock song on here.

MH has the most ratings of any DP studio, and hasn't made 1,000 yet.

That is a shame. If multiple Sabbath and Zeppelin songs have >1000 ratings, why can't Machine Head?

Because more people need to DP hard.

Glad you're digging this one danny and agreed on the Gillan remarks .The man was extremely versatile, he could sing all kinds of stuff.

Yeah, the band sounds completely unleashed on here. The Mule would have to be my least fave moment on here, but it doesn't affect the album too much (imo).

Yeah, I can definitely understand where you're coming from. For some time, The Mule sounded a bit out of place for me and even though Paice is one of my fave drummers, I'm not a big fan of his solos. I consider him more of a rhythm drummer tbh.

@manosg: I agree, he sounds much better when mixed in with the rest of the band.
