GORAFTTS is an ok song

only ok come on it kicks ass!
He wasn't genius just another suicidal musician who relied on MTV to do the business. Still better than Green Day though.
and i suppose you are a musical genius so you know what you're talking about

nirvana more or less single handedly CHANGED MUSIC that takes a genius

NEVER dis the great Kurt Cobain, coz he's a damnsight better than you probably are

I think the strength of In Utero lies in the noisey tracks. I love Milk It and tourette's, and I also dig Radio Friendly Unit Shifter and Scentless Apprentice. Very Ape has an awesome groove to it. On a lot of the other songs it becomes painfully clear that Kurt never was a good composer and guitar player.

Heart-Shaped Box has its moments, but is too dull for its length. Rape Me is a weak memory to Nevermind. Dumb, with its fine arrangement, still can't hide the fact that it's for 80% the same composition as SLTS.

Moreover I find that half of the time, Kurt just lacks credibility in his singing. Apart from the aforementioned songs I like, only Pennyroyal Tea really gets the message across, the rest is too introvertive. This Message Edited On 11.05.05

nirvana rock because they didnt really want to, you can like them but not out loud...

if you like them because of teen spirit, fair enough but dont boast the song... its kinda over-rated.

Oh but we can just prove him wrong. Nirvana is no one-hit-wonder, one-hit-wonders are just that: they score one hit and after that they're gone. Nirvana sold various singles and albums over the world. SLTS is just their biggest hit. Queen's biggest hit is Bohemian Rhapsody, but that does not make them one-hit-wonders.

But SLTS is the one song Nirvana are remembered by, Queen are remembered for Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Killer Queen and Don't Stop Me Now.

Firstly, I think Don't Stop Me Now should be replaced by Somebody to Love here.

Secondly, no, it's the song Nirvana is most remembered by. Other songs they are remembered for include About A Girl, Lithium, Rape Me and Heart-Shaped Box.

BTW all you need to do is compare tracklists of their Greatest Hit albums to tell who is the undeserved, overrated, trashy American band.

This obviously doesn't work since has Queen has existed for 20 years and made 14 or so studio-albums.

Here's some actual one-hit-wonders:

The Monkees (I'm a Believer)

Buggles (Video Killed the Radio Star)

Bomfunk MC's (Freestyler)

Reviewer, you are insane.

You only gave the most "commercial" songs a good rating.
In my opinion, songs like Milk It, Scentless Apprentice, and Radiofriendly... are the best on here. Because like someone said earlier, it's about Kurt's emotions. And in my opinion, those songs are insanely emotional.

I didn't like this review, it was boring, and didn;t tell anyone anything about the album really.

I think this album is the sh!t. I love Nirvana's almost quirky, heavy rawness...

I like this one a lot more than Nevermind which has more of a punky feel.

Scentless Apprentice, Dumb, Heart-Shaped Box, Rape Me, Milk It, Very Ape, Penny Royal Tea all stand out but the others are great too.

FUCKING LOVE THIS!

really good review

this is a great album, with some of nirvana's best work on it, but i think someone new to nirvana may be turned off by some of the "noise tracks". begginers would be much better off starting with nevermind...

Disagree with the reviews of Tourette's, Milk It, Very Ape etc When I first got into Nirvana I didnt like those songs cos they challenged my perception of what Rock music should sound like but I kept listening to them and they grew on me and I saw the raw emotions in them and now they are probably my favourite pieces on the album. Nirvana are great cos they can easily fluctuate from the more conventional pop-sounding (and I use the pop word loosely) songs like most of Nevermind, and half of this album to the more underground and creative unconvential grunge sound of Bleach and Incesticide along with a few songs on this album and they do them both excellently. The review was good for more mainstream rockers, but to those who like something abit different dont let his "noise" comments put you off this album is excellent throughout! This Message Edited On 02.07.06This Message Edited On 03.06.06

In my view, this album is way better than Nevermind. Simply by Kurt's more intricate lyrics, theres more to In Utero than everyone thinks there is. Now matter how raw it was produced, the music still sounds great...In this cd, Nirvana captured what "Grunge" was all about, musical freedom!!!!

The lyrics are better, but the single make the album, not the unlistenable grungy tracks.
