This is still formulaic as fuck and scarcely adventurous at all. only pretty melodies make it cool. it could be so much better, though.

Sun's Delusion is one of those unskippable songs when it comes up on shuffle

I used to really dig this band. Might have to rekindle our relationship.

I loaned this album from my friend before the beginning of summer, and then just forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me I have it, folks.

Cool album. Reminds me of Symbyosis, with some Inferi thrown in if that makes sense. Prog/melo death, but definitely some -core elements here.

Well, if this really is the pinnacle of melodeath, then it shows the genre is pretty disappointing. I mean the melodies are indeed great, but the riffing patterns and song constructions are utterly predictable. This album doesn't give you the WOOOOOW OMG SO GOOD impression instantly, it can only validate itself as great after repeated listens. Countless Skies is easily one of the best melodeath songs ever recorded, though

and wtf deplazz seriously, where do you see -core here? be'lakor has got to be the single furthest melodeath band from any metalcore influence

Lol forget what I said, I thought -core (like melodic deathcore) was mostly about the repetitive and somewhat predictable riffing patterns you pointed out. But obviously I don't know what real deathcore is - which is good.
