Just cause it's self indulgent doesn't mean it's not AWESOME.

I pos'd in my head 'cause this review was just the shit man I mean holy fuck I've never listened to this album but now I want to 'cause I read the review but I know it's gonna be utter shit and I'm gonna put off listening to it for like 8 months and then I'll listen to one song and be like fuck this I hate this and then never listen to it again and then I won't be able to rate it 'cause I won't know what it sounds like except for the first song (or "Paper Cunts", 'cause I'd probably listen to that first) and I'll hate it so I'll have an album in my iTunes that isn't rated on Sputnik but I won't be able to listen to it 'cause I'll be unwilling to and then I'll be in quite the pickle because I won't be able to rate it but I'll still have it and that's kind of a paradox and it's unsanitary because Sputnik demands that I rate all the music I have and if I don't I'm a dirty little whore and that's not a good thing omfg what the fuck do I do I'm so confused and torn because of all these conflicting interests some people want me to get it and listen to it but other people are just going to say don't get it it's utter shit and still there are others who really don't give a shit about what I do but it is to you people that I give a hearty and frank "fuck you" because you haters hinder my development as a mature young adult and a music afficionado and the only thing I want in life is to become a mature adult and a good person and to keep music in my life and you people are trying to stop me from doing that because you don't care about me and don't respect me as a person and as a young man who isn't quite mature yet, it hurts me a lot and I want to cry right now but I will try to be strong and "man the fuck up", as some might say which is an Oasis song but Oasis is pretty good and you fuckers suck but anyways back on topic this album idk if I'll listen to it 'cause I can't deal with all this peer pressure and I hate all of you guys trying to do stuff and pull me in your directions instead of being so self-absorbed like Dream Theater and learn to respect others' feelings and be nice to other people in their lists and stuff.

Peer pressure, fuck you.

I am listening to this as I read your review and I wholeheartedly disagree, but this is one of the best reviews I've ever read. Nice work!

One of the funniest reviews on the site, pretty much agree with every negative thing said in the thread so far.

On so many of the songs it sounds like he's playing something that's going to lead into a new part but it just keeps on going. Only song I kind of like is Warren Oates.

To soothe the symptoms of a cursed go-between, this magnetar of a record (an uncomfortable meditation on bad manners), was recorded in the foul summer of 2006. It then sat in my grotesquely overpopulated, roman holiday of a closet, awaiting its vocal tracks, which were finally realized in the illustrious Australian summer of 2008. Being predisposed to insults, I would like to say now that I love this record with all my guts and find it very much worth the wait (I hope you'll agree, though I sense some of you may not). This project, as many before it, though one small step in my (our) personal therapy, still bears the question: is our footing sure enough to be trusted?

Omar is such a douche
