I enjoyed some songs of the album like "underdog" but definately was overrated, I was slightly disapointed. Maybe I'm just not that into mainstream, but still I'm a fan of Lacuna coil, Hope to hear better in the future. dug the cover art.

This is Lacuna Coil at their worst. They hired a pop producer to make them sound like cheezy hipster rock. Andrea has never sounded better, but that hardly makes up for this travesty.

Andrea totally can sing. They just don't use him correctly most of the time and his voice doesn't fit the glossy pop music they make now. Listen to something like "Soul Into Hades" or "Honeymoon Suite". It was beautiful.

Yea he's horrible now; always makes the songs feel awkward and forced. All in all this band just sucks now. Their early stuff is pretty decent though.

This album shows Lacuna Coil drawing a deep breath and stepping out in the unknown. The unknown here referring to their experimental techniques, rather than the gothic and gloomy atmospheres imprinted on earlier albums. Like the reviewer says, an album filled with incredibly catchy hooks, but one that falls short of fan's expectations. Oh well, 'Dark Adrenaline' kind of made everything slightly heavier anyway.

I wanted to post on the Lacuna Coil Unleashed; American release with EP extras. Heh there are def different releases. "I like It" it is oddly one of the worst songs I ever heard. I will skip every time. What where they thinking. This album I think is better than most ppl give it credit for. How are not "Spellbound" and "I won't Tell you." Some of their best songs ever? "Wide awake" harkens back to just thinking of the past and moving on.

I'll double post this here, because I think Shallow Life is a 3.5 easy with one horrible song. But more Andrea Ferro. I hear this everywhere this guy sucks he can't sing he sucks. This is one of those memes. I saw them in 2003 in Canada it was awesome. I just he probably started growling b/c of that haha I liked his limited growling in the old albums. I never thought he was so bad live.
