There anything more epic than the ending to passive?

The ending to the album is more epic because it means your suffering is over.

Lennon cover is semi-decent, I quite like what they darker spin, and how the gleeful vibe of the original never shows through. The rest is as mediocre as it gets.

maybe you're better off this way

Album gets way too much hate. There are some beautifully constructed covers on this album.

Not a bad album, but definitely a huge step down from their first two, and it was disappointing when they announced before release that it was an album of all covers. I think that screwed it over for most people from the get go. Imagine, counting bodies like sheep, passive and when the levee breaks are good. You’ll notice two of those aren’t covers lol.

when this dropped it felt like getting kicked in the nuts so hard you puked out your organs. Killed the band for almost 15 years, quite an achievement

"Killed the band for almost 15 years, quite an achievement"
I never really thought about it that way but you're right.

seems like probably just conjecture
but yeah cover albums always seem to struggle to attain a consensus comparable with other acclaimed output from a given artist
I never actually listened to this in full though should change that
