I don't 'jizz' over bands, and some technical death that I can stand would be Anata and Cynic. It's not about me liking the genre, it's about me liking bands who do not copy others when they make their music. I don't feel the need to listen to 50 technical death bands because they all sound the same, but lesser beings like yourself seem to be able to cope with being fed the same bullshti constantly, so I dunno.
They are technical, but not technical death. 'Progressive metal' is probably a far more appropriate tag for them

I do like the genre, just because I don't listen to every band in it doesn't mean I don't like it. Even by the fact that I listen to one band is enough to be able to say I like the genre. Also my 20 percent death metal slice out of almost 900 albums is pretty good evidence to my liking of death metal.

I don't understand your point when it's obvious that Rasputin does like that style of music, but that he prefers to stick with the original sounding bands and leave the generic bands to other people. Credibility has a lot to do with enjoyment of music. Look at how fast Mili Vanili fell ;)

Apparently not, if rasputin said he liked Necro to begin with, I would've been less skeptical of him not liking tech death as a whole. It seems he listens to music for originality, not for genre, yet he contradicts himself and says he hypothetically could like a genre by listening to only one band in that genre.
