No, this is all on topic, it is just the degrees of separation in question. Rise Against played the Big Day Out a few years back. There you go, just 1 degree!

I am standing my ground and will once more state that I will not get into politics here... Especially in a Rise Against review as (I can't believe I am bowing to peer pressure here, but...) Tim will come in and pi$$ on all your hands!

I had this album in 'My Music' and I didn't even know it

I feel some songs are just very generic and other ones stand out and are very good. I'm talking about "Colapse", "Re-education" and "Audience of one".

As always, you make a great review Davey, just with the fanboy touch and enthusiasm this time :P

"Savior", Whereabouts Unknown", and "From Heads Unworthy" are my favorites here.

"Savor" has been enjoying a pleasant stay on the alternative rock radio charts.

Fair call on the "fanboy & enthusiasm" aspects here Darkshowstopper. There's that word "generic" again. I dislike it.

'Savior' should be enjoying a pleasant stay on the normal charts. It needs to get on to a tv show or a Twilight movie so more people can appreciate its greatness.

Sorry about using it, maybe it's not the best term.. but songs like "Hero of war" and "hairline fracture" are just okay in my opinion.

It's a little overrated - it's definitely the best song on the album, but the energy of the song is stopped by the bridge. I would have liked them to keep it going somehow.

'Savior' will never be boring... & I don't see the energy issue as a problem in the context of the lyrics.

Depends on your definition of "not so good". I don't think there is anything "bad" on here.

This album gets a little too much hate for its more mainstream direction. Its a solid listen all the way through; however, I can't really get into "Hero of War".

Totally agree with you Oliver... Except for the last bit. Haha.

By the way, I really liked your OneRepublic review. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it now leaves me with nowhere else to go. LOL. I have to think hard to find an angle you didn't cover.
