I find it absolutely annoying... All the 2nd half tracks are, but bite specially so.

I seriously don't know how you enjoyed this at all if you find the second half annoying because it really isn't any different from the first half

I guess 1st half has less annoying singing and instrumentals... It's more about mood. 2nd half is more in-your-face and I think the album heavily disfavors from that more agressive approach.

Drip, Drip is pretty aggressive (and takes up nearly half of the first half) and its the best song on the album so I dunno about this analysis

it is not NOT agressive, but it balances the more agressive passages with more restrained ones.

Instrumentation is done better overall. Less sampling, less annoying flutes, more lush strings, more hand percussion.

The lack of female vocals also hurts the 2nd half.

Herald and Drip Drip are definitely highlights, but that doesn't discredit the second half.

welp, on 2nd listen I must say I didn't give the second half enough credit. Maybe it's because this album is exhausting to me to go through on a single listen... When I just listened to the first half and then after a couple of hrs I went into the 2nd I didn't find at all as annoying or hard to get through.

I still, tho, find it inferior to the 1st half. Though this time I'm not really sure why.

Well I agree that the first is better my man, but in fairness it's fucking difficult to follow up Diana -> Herald -> Drip -> Song to Comus. All four are amazing and top tier.

The second half is much shorter (unless you count Song in your second half), so it's less 'epic' and more frantic like Diana. Still good.

Yeah since you can't evenly split the album in 2 based on number of songs, I'd throw Song to Comus in the second half (due to length). The first three songs are pretty much all 5/5 songs so the second half can't compete but those songs are still excellent in their own right

Completely agree my man.

There are songs I like more than others, but honestly I don't have a moment I really dislike.
