This album and the first receiving end of sirens are like the proof that metalcore/post hardcore albums with lots of cleans don’t have to suck. So many cool ideas

I understand the point you are trying to make, but I wouldn't call anything TREoS has done even close to metalcore.
I have seen a few mention it, but I don't really hear too much metalcore in this either.

“Metalcore/post hardcore”
This albums got some metalcore-esque breakdowns, so it fits

Between the heart and the synapse was pretty clear post hardcore yeah but I think some of the riffing is def metalcore influenced. This way more so, a lot of the guitar stuff reminds me of real early oh sleeper

This does chugsy wugsy a decent amount but still... I dunno guys.
I guess most of the metalcore I listen to is more riff/lead (and usually more towards the riffs) oriented, where as this is very focused on the lead guitar and the vocals. The rhythm guitar doesn't ever seem like it does a whole lot here.

Oh come on. I don't think you're listening hard enough. The rhythm guitar on this album is one of my favourite parts about it. So many interesting chords being brought to the table. The intro of Choreographer and Ventriloquist immediately stand out in this regard.

Jeepers. I am 0 for 2 on this page. What have I brought upon myself?
Maybe I haven't focused in on it enough, but it always just seemed like power chords and heavy palm muting of whatever the lowest notes on the guitar are in the tuning they are using.

Also related to OM&M Kurt Travis was going to audition for them after Austin left

That would've been a huge waste of Kurt's talent so I'm glad that didn't happen lol

He talks about it on the Lead Singer Syndrome podcast with Shane Told, it's a great interview and Kurt goes in depth about lots of stuff.
Yeah he's friends with the drummer from his time in DGD and he wanted Kurt to audition and bought him a plane ticket and everything.
