@gabba Huh, I never noticed the similarities nor can I really see them? Agreed that both are amazing though

@Icebloom yeah, these are definitely mind tricks that are difficult to explain to myself. Got into this band recently, switching back and forth bw this one and Hex, can’t decide which album I dig more. But perhaps there’s no need, it’s just the usual listing-compulsion.
@Baseline, that’d make Talk Talk BP for boomers, wouldn’t it?

Talk Talk and Bark Psychosis are for everybody, thank you very much 😤

Completely agree, and never really got those generation tags. They sound good, but are essentially useless.

sick bass on "Miss Abuse" [11]

Too subtle for my maximalist taste. No thanks, where even is the bass drop?

generational tags are mostly ass (2)
well, I can think of a couple of users who mostly stay in their lane, but still
I mean it only really refers to the absolute mainstream of music digesters who really don’t explore outside of their own ‘naturally provided’ experiences

Nice bump. Been a while since I jammed this masterpiece, might need to change that.

I followed through on my promise and rejammed both this and HEX a few times over the week. Opinion relatively unchanged - both (really) great albums, I still prefer this by a hair; maybe a tad less overwhelmingly 'atmospheric' than HEX, but in some ways it also feels more like a transitive journey. Idk.
Also checked the SCUM EP, too (for the first time) and it's fucking great. On par with HEX, honestly.
What a band.

I used to prefer this one but Hex clears it marginally
still, both are excellent. What a band (2).
