I would agree with you if Watershed did not have The Lotus Eater on it.
That song is pure win.
Surprisingly, my favorite album this year is probably Fortress. Protest the Hero has really kicked it up a notch or 5.

This is still growing on me. Oddly enough, I don't really listen to this when I want to hear metal... I listen to it when I'm looking for mellower things despite the fact this isn't very "soothing".

Ya dude I have this, Vikingligr Veldi, and Isa and I dislike them all, but this is probably the best one. Probably going to be a 3-ish, 3.5 at best. This band is just way too boring, almost nothing interesting happens. When they change pace, the riffs are uninspired and boring, the clean vocals are pretty bad, the harsh ones are decent... the only redeeming thing about this band is that they have some great guitar solos.This Message Edited On 12.10.08

Clean vocals are great man so are the riffs, Ice Dale is my boy. Especially in The Watcher. This isn't as simplistic or accessible for a lack of a better word than most other black bands around but worth the time but check out that Farsot album for excellent prog rock/black
