Here's the problem with listening to this; suddenly all the music that I have loved that has been released in the past 10 years feels really safe and boring. To think this was achieved in the 70's is astonishing.

Truly terrific album.

thats because it is safe and boring, 70's is were it is at, so many great things going on with an emphasis on album, and grooves

@RunOfTheMill, are you serious bro? You surely need some Supertramp into your life...

Start with their big four Crime of the Century, Even in the Quietest Moments, Breakfast in America and Crisis, What Crisis. To find their entire albums, go there;

I've heard a few songs on the radio. My parents liked them back in the day, but I never bothered with their albums. Thanks for the link Jethro, my man

It's a pleasure ;) Crime of the Century is really their magnum opus. Even in the Quietest Moments and Breakfast in America are more pop but always with a fair touch of progressive rock. Crisis what Crisis has lots of great acoustic songs. It's probably more ''experimental'' but it remains very accessible. Have a good time, friend.

How is the album 4.3? The three opening songs are the strongest (or as strong) as any other offering. Should be higher on the all time list.

I swear to God I've spent my life thinking Supertramp was that shitty 80s band who sung "Working for the Weekend" (who I now realize is Loverboy) and had never bothered with them. Imagine my surprise when they're actually an awesome 70s prog band.

Album rules. School has been my jam these last few days.
