Agreed, and yes for the Tull like ''I Remember''...It's not their first nod and wink to Tull, I think. Have to revisit.

I'm not sure if they were Tull fans, since they did'nt go that way in general, but I've read somewhere that the frontman and flutist Buddy Lackey was inspired by them, like shown in ''I Remember'' and probably other flute driven songs.

Sup Captain! I myself am one of the few who still promotes prog on Sputnik, but I'm not that much active anymore...but I'm always checking out what's going on through the site, especially onto prog that is rare on here nowadays.

Thanks for your kind words, my man. It's nice to see you around.

Now, check out Deadsoul Tribe, the subsequent Buddy Lackey's (Devon Graves) prog metal band. You can see from there that he's in admiration for Ian Anderson, with his flute playing, with some Tull like compositions and even a cover art that is a hidden tribute to Ian Anderson.

I didn't listen to them in years, but it seems that A Murder Of Crows might be the best. A Lullaby For The Devil is different from their past albums. Devon himself has said that the last three albums were cut from the same cloth and it was time for a change. More heaviness and distortion on that one, but the changes in there are not always welcome.

Two songs that are obviously similar to Jethro Tull -listen to them in full-

i'll listen to The Strange Mind Of Buddy Lackey too, at some point.

Cheers my friend.

Does anybody know if Inside Out is remastering the old albums, or are they just re-releasing them since they're so hard to find?

I'll buy them all again. Have to support my local band. Also, I only have the first three albums in 192 kbps from back when I first bought them.
