Yeah, upon first hearing this album I loved it, but with time it's become just another average metalcore album.

The Truth in Perception is an awesome song, though.

Love the Drumming. Love the "harsh" vocals. Dislike the repetitive guitar parts. Hate the tacked on clean vocals.

Well, all in all it's alright. It just seems to run together a bit much. There's a couple very quality songs here (Reflection, Truth of My Perception), but a lot of them fall into general mediocrity. It was nice that the breakdowns weren't over done tho.

I also hardly think that this drummer would be irreplaceable. Sure, he's good...but I didn't hear much of anything that isn't done by the average metal/metalcore drummer these days.

You're review is very good but I don't think a lack of solos hurts this cd. Too many solos is just show offy and if they were doing them, in my opinion, it would sound forced. BTW Dan Weyandt does guest vocals in Control Is Dead. From what I can tell Reflection has no guest vocalist.

good album, got bored of it a long time ago though. Meaning in Tragedy and The Darkest Nights are both great songs though. Looking forward to their new cd anyway.

I used to like this CD, but now I can hardly listen to it. It was too easy to grow out of.

I find it funny how a buch of people praised this when it came out, but then when they saw that the scene kids were liking it, Metalheads now give it 1.5's and lower.

Amazing band. I love Clint's voice. Its a damn shame he's no longer in the band. Maybe its just my love for the metalcore genre, but I think this is possibly one of my favorite albums of all time. Nice review.

As I Lay Dying were one of the first metal bands I got into, and I still consider them among the better metalcore bands. The Darkest Nights is the best song on here, but most of them are very good.

The singles are fantastic, some of the other songs are pretty good, but eventually the album just got really boring. Same with their new album.

It's funny how everyone seems to think that Clint Norris is a better singer then there current bassist. When he didn't even record the vocals on SaS. All the clean Vocals where sung by Dave Arthur of Kings to you, because they sounded in the Studio more powerful than Clint Norris.
